Homecoming was a Blast! Homecoming is an American tradition that celebrates the history of a school or organization by welcoming back alumni to celebrate its traditions. Last week, we celebrated homecoming with athletic and class competitions, a parade with our teams and musicians, a dance, and dress up days. After a week of themed dress-up days, the Homecoming parade kicked off the weekend festivities, where students, alumni, and the community came together to show off their school spirit. Midcoast Magic and Fall Fun We are enjoying the beautiful weather, slightly cooler temperatures, and the first hints of fall color appearing in the leaves. As we settle into the season, we look forward to making the most of autumn in Maine with pumpkin carving, cozy fires in the dorm courtyard, and hikes along the many trails near campus. This Community Cares! This past weekend, dorm students participated in community service projects with CHiP (Community Housing Improvement Project), spending their Saturday as integral members on a variety of projects. Students worked alongside community members, with support and leadership from returning students. The weekend was a great success and highlighted our students’ commitment to service, collaboration, and engagement with the broader community. There were several work opportunities this year. Some students stayed on campus and learned to measure and cut wood and wrap the frames in plastic to help insulate the windows of older homes throughout the long winter. [...]

Welcome to Lincoln Academy! Our boarding students have arrived and have settled into their dorm rooms in Kiah Bailey Hall here in beautiful Newcastle, Maine. The theme of the past few weeks has been: new! Students are adjusting to new routines and norms, making new friends, and just having new experiences on a daily basis.
