edLab – Alternative Education

The edLab is a small community of learners and teachers dedicated to rigorous academic and personal development through project-based, experiential and individualized education. Students of all aspirations are welcome as creative thinkers and change-makers, finding success in an environment different from the traditional classroom.

The edLab Program:

Started in 1991, the edLab stands as one of the longest successfully operational alternative education programs in the state of Maine. The program provides a challenging, supportive learning environment for students for whom the traditional high school classroom is not a good fit. The edLab primarily serves 11th and 12th graders.

Hours and Location:

The edLab is a part of Lincoln Academy and therefore is open every school day.  Our hours of operation are from 7:45 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday 7:30 am – 3:00 pm.  You can find us hard at work in Lincoln Academy’s Hall House building.
