School Year 2026-27
Welcome to Lincoln Academy. We hope some parent questions are answered on this page. Please refer to our Staff Directory to contact specific teachers or other staff.

Register for the 2026-27 School Year:
- Lincoln Academy Fall 2026 Registration Forms are available! All students, new and returning, need to fill out registration paperwork each year, including permission and athletic forms. Please contact Admissions with questions about the enrollment process.
2026-27 School Meals
Lincoln Academy school meals will be billed at the following rates:
- Breakfast: $3.10
- Lunch: Lunch: $5.15 (For either a hot meal or salad bar – if students eat both they will be charged twice)
- À la carte side items and grab-and-go snack packs $2.00 – $4.00/each
- Students will be charged for seconds.
Students use their student number on the back of their student IDs to charge meals to their account. Families can add money to pay for meals using our PayPams online portal (instructions for using PayPams), or by bringing a check to the front office (this method saves the PayPams transaction fee). Returning students will have the same Student ID number as last year. New students will be issues a student ID number at Orientation.
No-Charge Meals: Please note that families who received no-charge meals in the spring will continue to receive meals at no charge; there is no need to renew. If your family is interested in exploring the no-charge meals option, please contact your students’ advisor or Dean of Students Jake Abbott. This program is completely anonymous, and no one, including the dining commons staff at the point of sale, knows who is receiving free meals.
No student will ever be turned away from a meal at Lincoln Academy.

Athletics:
- Coaches’ information and practice schedules can be found on the LA Athletics page.
- The Athletics Calendar can be found at this link.
- All students will need to have a sports physical within 2 years of the beginning of the season. Please have your doctor fill out the sports physical form, which can be printed and downloaded at this link.
- Families will also have to complete the Sports Participation permission form online as part of the PowerSchool registration process.
Technology:
- All students at Lincoln Academy are required to bring their own laptop to school.
- Please see detailed information on the Technology for Parents page.
- Other acceptable devices for Lincoln Academy academic work are:
- PC laptops with at least Windows 10 and current wireless cards
- Mac OS laptops with at least OS X and current wireless hardware
- Please note that tablets are no longer recommended as school devices. We have found that tablets lack the functionality needed for some academic platforms at LA.
Back to School Dates 2026/27
- August 27, 6 pm in the gym: 9th grade parent meeting
- Monday, August 31, 8am-1 pm: All new students. 9th Grade Orientation and Transfer Students. Students begin their day in the gym. Bring a laptop! No other supplies necessary.
- Tuesday, September 1, 8 am-2:00 pm: First day of school (Adapted A-day schedule, no Bath Tech classes). Students begin their day in advisor classrooms.
- Wednesday, September 2, 8 am-2:00 pm: Second day of school (Adapted B-day schedule, Bath Tech classes start). Students begin their day in advisor classrooms.
- Monday, September 7: Labor Day, no school
- Thursday, September 10: Open House (tentative date)

Jenny Mayher grew up on the campus of an independent school in Tarrytown, New York, where her parents were teachers, so taking a job at Lincoln Academy in 2014 seemed a natural fit. In her role of Communications Director Jenny is responsible for Lincoln Academy's social media, website, weekly newsletter, press, photography, and publications, including the school's annual alumni magazine, Aerie. She co-advises the Lincoln Academy Eagle's Talon student newspaper and co-teaches the Yearbook and Communications class. She is the parent of two recent LA graduates, Essie Martin '17 (Bates College '22) and Jojo Martin '20 (Tufts University '25).

Heather joined the Community Engagement and Development Office at Lincoln Academy in January 2020 and became Director of the office in June of 2022. She has spent her career in education, and is particularly passionate about connecting young people to real world learning experiences. A born and raised Mainer, Heather feels very fortunate to call the midcoast home. She lives in Bremen with her husband and her daughter.

Deanna Pierpan grew up in Massachusetts and spent a lot of time visiting her husband's parents and her grandparents and cousins all over Maine. It was a natural progression and long time goal of moving to Midcoast Maine with her husband and children that was realized in 2018. Deanna spent much of her professional career managing software development projects for various consulting firms and asset management companies in New England and Europe, but more recently has been an office manager in real estate and healthcare. Combining these experiences with a desire to engage with her community, led her to being a part of the Lincoln Academy community as Mr. Burrough's assistant. Her son, Harrison is in the class of 2023 and her sons, Hamilton and Anderson are in the class of 2026.

Mrs. Petersen has worked at Lincoln Academy since 2015 and sincerely enjoys the one-on-one interactions she has with students from all over the world. Before LA, she taught high school boys at The Deck House School in Edgecomb, Maine. Mrs. Petersen is active in the local community and volunteers with the AOS93 Adult Education Board and the North Nobleboro Community Association. She loves reading and gardening in her spare time, but most of all, spending time with her husband and two children in midcoast Maine.
