Who: Seniors and guests served by faculty and the National Honor Society Juniors.

What: A traditional celebration of graduation seniors with faculty pouring tea and serving teatime snacks to graduates and their families.

The event provides an informal setting to walk around and greet other students, guests, and teachers. This is great opportunity for guests to chat with students and teachers in a social setting. We hope you can join us.

What: This is event is packed with fun, information and preparation for Senior Week ceremonies. Starting at 10:30 Seniors will practice marching (this part is mandatory), followed by yearbook distribution (yearbooks for seniors are free thanks to the Class of 2026 Yearbook, Cap & Gown Fund) and a pizza picnic at 11:30. Yard games and pens for signing yearbooks are available.

Who: Seniors and Guests

What: An evening of award presentations honoring Senior achievements at Lincoln Academy and highlighting future aspirations. The school will give away over $250,000 in scholarships during the course of the evening. The event is usually about an hour and a half, and families are invited but not required to attend.

Following the event will be a small reception for award recipients, donors and award representatives.

Class Night will be moved into the gymnasium if rain prevents an outdoor event. Updates will be communicated by text to senior families.

Who: Seniors and families

What: An opportunity to have a family portrait taken with your graduate in cap & gown. These photos will be posted on Flickr and can be downloaded free for printing or sharing. Instructions for downloading photos from Flickr. (see a sampling of last year’s photos)

Where: next to the Bus Loop and below the Dining Commons (rain location: Fishbowl).

6:00 pm: seniors arrive at Municipal Parking Lot
6:30 pm: seniors start marching from Municipal Parking Lot
7:00 pm: Seniors march onto Waltz Field and Ceremony begins

The Baccalaureate March is weather permitting. The Baccalaureate Ceremony will be moved into the gymnasium if rain prevents an outdoor event. Updates will be communicated by text to senior families

Who: Seniors, Faculty/Staff and Guests

What: Commencement Ceremony is the culmination of Senior Week, as students and their guests celebrate their graduation. More than a thousand people will gather on Stanley Waltz Field to watch the Class of 2026 receive diplomas. The ceremony will include speeches and diplomas are presented by senior advisors. Commencement lasts about 90 minutes.

Where: Lincoln Academy – Stanley Waltz Field (rain location: Nelson Bailey Gym)

When: 1:00 pm (seniors arrive by 11:45 am).
Senior families: Parking on campus is extremely limited. Please allow plenty of time for parking and carpool and/or use satellite parking whenever possible. Overflow parking will be at St. Patrick’s Church (380 Academy Hill Rd Newcastle) with a shuttle. Shuttle will operate from approximately 11:30 – 12:45 pm and again after graduation.

In case of rain, graduation will be moved inside the gym. This decision will be made by 9 am and communicated via email and text. In the case of an indoor ceremony, a reservation system will be used to allocate 6 seats to graduate families. Please complete the form sent via email to make your reservation.

Who: Boarding Students, Faculty/Staff and Guests

What: Families of boarding students are invited to enjoy refreshments with dorm parents and other faculty and staff after graduation. This is an opportunity to meet and thank the close community of people who have supported students through the school year.
