We are looking to add one full-time Creamery Assistant to our team who is curious and passionate about local food. After School Child Care Help Needed
We are a Nobleboro family living in an apartment on a working farm, looking for a reliable, safe driver and kind human-whether you’re a fellow parent, a student, a grandparent, or a responsible local-to help us navigate the afternoon juggle. We lean into Montessori principles and Positive Discipline, so we are looking for someone who fits into that calm, constructive vibe.
If you’re looking for a flexible way to earn some extra money, this could be a great fit for both of us! The only non-negotiable here is that I really want this care to happen in our home.
The Crew & The Route
The 4-year-old: A fun little guy who needs someone to look after him while he plays or join in the fun. You’ll pick him up from DMS around 4:30 (or 4 if that’s better)
The Destination: Head straight home to our apartment in Nobleboro (just minutes from DMS) to get them fed and settled. I get home at 5:35 most days. (or bring him to the YMCA in Boothbay Harbor – see below)
The Weekly Vibe & Schedule
- The Hours: Pick up time is generally 4:00 PM or 4:30 PM during the school year.
- The Core Routine: Take the kids home, hang out, play, and get them settled.
- Optional YMCA Trips: If you’re up for it, a few days a week (or all the days of the week) you could drive them down to meet me at the Boothbay Harbor YMCA at 5:05 PM so they can go swimming. If you’d rather just stay at the house with them, that is completely fine too!
- Optional Meal Prep: I would love it if you wanted to throw dinner in the oven or do some light prep for us (we love simple things like roasted veggies (I’m kidding, I am the only one that eats veggies here), buttered noodles, chicken ). But if cooking isn’t your vibe (its not mine either), absolutely no pressure. Just keep my kids safe (physically and mentally) and alive and I’d be happy with that.
Optional School Vacations: It would be a huge plus if you are also available to watch the 4-year-old at our home during school vacation weeks, but this is entirely optional!
The Perks & Flexibility
- Free YMCA swimming or membership: If you decide you’d like to do the YMCA trips, and you (and your child) want to swim too, or workout, I will completely cover your time there.
- Dinner is on me: If you opt to help with meal prep, you are completely welcome to eat dinner with us if that’s not weird to you! Or, if you’d rather pack up a plate to take dinner to-go for yourself, I will cover that too. Unlimited snacks while you work!
- Bring your kid! If you have a chill kid of your own, they are more than welcome to come along for the afternoon routine. Maybe you babysit another kid? They are welcome too if their parents are cool with that.
- Negotiable Pay: I am open to discussing a rate that works well for both of us.

We are looking for someone for a few weeks this summer where we’ll need care during the weekdays, along with occasional days or evenings here and there throughout the year. Dresden Family Farm Seeking Help
I have a small private farm in Dresden where I grow chickens, turkeys and pigs and have a large vegetable garden. I also have a large project to remove invasive plants and plant native shrubs and flowing plants around the property to attract wildlife, especially birds.
Tasks include daily animal care, soil preparation, planting, weeding, mowing, trail building and other tasks. I will provide all training for work. I am seeking 1-2 workers to work a total of 20-25 hours per week. This job could be one job of 20+ hours or would be good for 2 people working 10-15 hours each. I can provide transportation as needed.
I am retired but over my career hired and trained staff including many beginning workers. I also was a youth recreational soccer coach for boys and girls for 16 years. This job would be a great opportunity for 1-2 students to gain farming and gardening experience and gain confidence in doing outdoor physical labor producing food and learning about re-wilding a 27-acre farm. I am seeking students during their summer vacation. The growing season has already begun. If a student or students want to work 5-10 hours after school or on weekends until summer vacation I would be interested in starting work as soon as possible.

Essential Experience and Skill Requirements:

Lincoln Academy Stewardship Intern – Summer 2026
Reports to: Stewardship and Volunteer Coordinator
Position Summary: Do you want to spend your summer outside, getting your hands dirty, and learning how your local land trust stewards land? The Stewardship Intern will support the stewardship team while gaining hands-on experience in land conservation, trail maintenance, and working with community volunteers. The intern will assist with stewardship projects, property monitoring, and volunteer workdays. This position is ideal for anyone who enjoys
working outdoors and is interested in the environment.
Schedule: 21 hours per week, Tuesday – Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Starts mid-June and wraps up August 13
Compensation: $17-$19/hour depending on experience
Mileage reimbursement at federal rate
Responsibilities:
- Assist in routine trail maintenance and new trail construction
- Perform general property maintenance
- Help with invasive plant removal
- Attend and assist with weekly volunteer stewardship events
- Learn about and help staff with property boundary marking and monitoring
- Conduct surveys with trail users
- Perform other stewardship-related tasks as needed
Desired qualifications & skills:
- Current or graduating Lincoln Academy student
- Interest in nature, conservation, or environmental stewardship
- Motivated to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and terrain while performing physical tasks

Midcoast Conservancy protects and restores vital lands and waters on a scale that matters.
We’re hiring part-time Courtesy Boat Inspectors for Summer 2026 to help prevent invasive aquatic plants from entering Damariscotta Lake. CBIs inspect watercraft and educate boaters as they enter and exit the water.
Details: Seasonal, part-time, non-exempt, ~7-21 hours/week, Weekends and Holidays. May 23 (Memorial Day) – September 7 (Labor Day)
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently at public boat launches
- Interest in invasive aquatic species and/or water quality issues
- Reliable transportation to and from boat launches in Jefferson and Nobleboro
- Must be available on weekends and holidays
Compensation: $17/hr starting, with an additional $0.25 annual increases with CBI experience (up to $20/hr), paid bi-weekly.
