Lincoln Academy has proudly served our community for more than 200 years, providing a comprehensive education to a diverse population of students. LA is located in the picturesque coastal town of Newcastle Maine, in a community made up of artists, fishermen, farmers, carpenters, laborers, professionals and retirees. A non-sectarian town academy with a boarding program, LA serves 600 students from 20 towns in Maine and 50 boarding students from around the world. LA has served Maine’s midcoast region as the school of choice for many generations of local families.
Perched on a hill overlooking the Damariscotta River and the twin villages towns of Damariscotta and Newcastle, Lincoln Academy is an hour drive northeast of the Portland International Jetport (PWM), and 2.5 hours northeast of Boston Logan Airport. Students can walk into town and shop, eat dinner, and visit the local library and movie theater. Fresh water and ocean swimming and sailing are only a short drive from campus, and students can ski on many Maine slopes throughout the winter.

LA Clubs meet three times per week during a Focused Learning Block during the school day. All students are encouraged to follow their passions and join any activity that interests them. Offerings change every trimester, and there is truly something for everyone.
Clubs are abundant and diverse, ranging from kickball to juggling to fly tying.
