The Spirit Float at last year’sHomecoming Parade. This year’s Lincoln Academy Homecoming takes place September 23-27

Lincoln Academy and the Lincoln Academy Alumni Council are excited to announce 2026 Homecoming Weekend, which takes place from Wednesday, September 23 through Sunday, September 27, 2026. 

The weekend includes Lincoln’s traditional Homecoming parade on Friday, September 25, as well as home contests in every sport. This year’s theme, selected by LA students, is “Under the Sea.” The public is invited to attend all events.

At the Friday evening and Saturday games, LA merchandise will be sold to benefit the senior class. Homemade pie, grilled burgers and hotdogs, Blanchard’s Creamery Ice Cream, and regular Booster concessions will be available throughout the weekend thanks to Alumni Council and Booster volunteers.

Here is the schedule overview for 2026 Lincoln Academy Homecoming weekend:

Wednesday, September 23, 3:30 PM: Home Golf Match vs. Gardiner (at Wawenock Golf Club)

Thursday, September 24, 4 pm: LA Home cross country meet. Girls run first at 4 pm, followed by boys at 4:30 pm. The race starts and finishes on LA’s John Bowers baseball field.

Friday, September 25  

  • 5 pm: Annual Homecoming Parade from Bath Savings to the LA campus. The marching band and all sports teams will participate, along with the LA Alumni Council, and First Responders. As is tradition, Eddie the Eagle and Mr. Page will lead cheers from the Homecoming Spirit Float (made possible by NC Hunt Lumber)
  • 5-7pm, alumni and parents are invited to gather at Shuck Station on Main Street in Newcastle to watch the parade.
  • 6:30 PM LA Field Hockey vs. Winslow High School under the lights on LA’s Clark Field.

Saturday, September 26

  • 9 AM: Head of School’s Brunch (LA Alumni Dining Commons): Alumni, staff, parents, and friends are invited to gather for brunch in the Dining Commons. (This event is free, but an RSVP is required. Please email Heather D’Ippolito at dippolito@lincolnacademy.org).
  • 10:30 AM – Lincoln Academy Sports Hall of Fame Induction in the Alumni Dining Commons. All welcome. 
  • JV games postponed due to anticipated weather
  • 1 PM – Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Medomak **New time
  • 3 PM – Boys Varsity Soccer vs. Medomak **New time

All soccer games take place on Lincoln Academy’s Clark Field. Admission to Saturday soccer games is $3 for adults and $2 for children and students, with proceeds benefitting the Lincoln Academy Alumni Council.

Sunday, September 27 — Postponed due to weather

  • 8:30 AM – Golf Scramble & Lunch (Wawenock Club, South Bristol): LA Homecoming weekend concludes with a Golf Scramble and lunch co-sponsored by the LA Boosters and Alumni Council at Wawenock Club in South Bristol.
