We’re Halfway Through May!

May is a month filled with end-of-year celebrations and milestones. AP Exams conclude tomorrow, Prom is this Saturday, and our soon-to-be-graduates are counting down the final days before their last classes. We continue to support our students at their events, and look forward to the remainder of celebrations that will take place over the next few weeks. Last night, we were treated to an amazing repertoire of music performed during the Band and Choir Spring Concert. It was truly a delight, and we are so proud of Seiya, Violet, Seoyoon, Nicolas Z., Justin, and Will for their performances! Bravo!

In addition to the campus-wide celebrations, ResLife marks the end of the year with plenty of our own events and memorable experiences. On Monday, May 25, Americans celebrate Memorial Day. We mark this day of remembrance with a parade, featuring the Lincoln Academy band, followed by a lobster bake at Pemaquid Point Lighthouse (featured on the Maine State Quarter). Our last community meeting will feature an end-of-the-year slideshow that celebrates our year together and bids farewell to our seniors. In these final weeks we are committed to finding the balance between academic success, recreation, and festivities, allowing our students to enjoy themselves and celebrate within the community they have helped build this year.

June Travel Plans

June travel plans are due by next Tuesday, May 12th. Please enter that information into Orah.

As always, we continuously update our Residential Life web page, making it easier for you to find the information that you need. You will find titles in the menu that will lead you to printable and translatable PDFs regarding end-of-year events, travel information, testing schedules, and more. If you have any questions you cannot find answers to on the website, please do not hesitate to contact us at the ResLife Office.

Parents of Graduating Seniors

For families traveling from abroad for Graduation events, please ensure that you have all necessary documentation and visa requirements in order.  Please use this form to submit your travel arrangements.  This will be gathered by the admissions office, who can provide you with a Visa Invitation Letter.

If you are coming to campus at the end of the year, we hope you have booked your accommodations. Local options can fill up quickly, and become more difficult to reserve the closer we get to Graduation. If you are still finalizing those plans, remember that we have a travel page on our website to guide you towards local Inns and Hotels.

Please review the dorm-specific schedule of events for Graduation Week as well as LA’s graduation page to help you and your student prepare for upcoming end-of-year activities and expectations.

Be well and take care,
