Members of last year’s Lincoln Academy graduating class toss their caps. This year’s ceremony will take place on Friday, June 5 at 1 pm on the LA campus.

On Friday, June 5, the Lincoln Academy Class of 2026 will graduate. The ceremony will take place at 1 pm on the Stanley Waltz Track Field on the LA campus. 

Barring rain, graduation will be held outside, and there will be plenty of seating to accommodate guests. In case of rain, the commencement ceremony will move inside the Lincoln Academy gym, and–due to limited seating–the event will be open by reservation only. Graduating seniors will be have reserved seats for their immediate family and friends.

Whether indoors or outdoors, the ceremony will be live streamed on the Lincoln County Television (LCTV) website. 

Guests who plan to attend graduation should arrive early and carpool whenever possible. Parking is extremely limited on campus. Satellite parking is provided at St. Patrick’s Church on Academy Hill in Newcastle, with shuttle service to Lincoln Academy.

Lincoln Academy Graduation Week festivities begin on Tuesday, June 2 at 3:00 pm with Senior Tea. Senior Tea is an event hosted by the faculty for graduating seniors and their families. Class Night, including the presentation of scholarships for graduates, will take place on Wednesday, June 3 at 6:30 pm. The traditional Baccalaureate March from downtown up Academy Hill to LA and Baccalaureate Ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 4. Graduates will gather in the back parking lot behind Renys at 6:15 pm and the Baccalaureate ceremony will begin at 7 pm. 

Weather permitting, both Class Night and Baccalaureate will be open to the public and take place outdoors on Stanley Waltz Track Field. In case of rain these events will be moved to the gym, where there will still be plenty of space to accommodate guests.
