Trimester Two Comes to an End

Today marks the end of the second trimester of the school year, which means that only one third of the 25/26 school year remains. With a new trimester comes warmer weather, more daylight hours thanks to the clock change last weekend, and spring sports! We are looking forward to students’ continued participation in extra-curriculars and supporting students as they embark in new athletic endeavors on the boys’ and girls’ tennis, lacrosse, and track teams! Good luck everyone!

Last weekend, we sent a group of Spanish speakers to the local YMCA to spend some time cooking, dancing, and practicing conversational Spanish with a group of younger students from a nearby elementary school. The event was a huge success, complete with tortilla espanola, buñuelos, horchata, and lots of laughing.

The end of the trimester comes with a long weekend for students. There will be no classes on Friday or Monday of this weekend. We are taking advantage of these extra days off by planning an expanded array of activities for our students to enjoy. On Friday, we will head to downtown Brunswick to explore the shops, restaurants, and cultural institutions including Bowdoin College campus and the historic Fort Andross. In the evening we will head to Kieve Wavus to participate in their community rock-climbing night. On Saturday and Monday, we will head to Target, Walmart, and Dick’s Sporting Goods to do some shopping and so students can get necessary equipment for spring athletics. We will finish our evenings with game nights and movie nights in the dorm, complete with snacks and drinks. Sunday marks our last planned ski trip of the season, and we are excited to have one last day of fun on Sugarloaf Mountain!

April Vacation: April 18-26

For those attending the trip to New York City, if you have not already done so, please pay the remaining balance by this Friday, March 13, 2026 via this link. This is the only April vacation program being offered.

All other students will depart campus on Saturday, April 18, by 3pm, and return on Sunday, April 26. Students who are traveling off campus need to submit April travel plans into Orah by March 20th. April break is rapidly approaching and is only five weeks away!

Be well and take care,
