From the Head of School
The daylight savings time change brought some welcome sunlight into the last couple of mornings as we move into November. I hope that next week’s amended schedule (half day on Monday and no school Tuesday) will give everyone a chance to catch their breath.
I got to watch the State Cross Country meet on Saturday to see both boys and girls finish their season with tremendous success: the boys placed 5th, girls 9th, and Owen Card (4th at States) and Karen Higgins (2nd at States) are going on the the New England Championships this weekend. Congratulations to the entire girls team for being awarded the Sportsmanship Award for the seventh time in nine years.
Tomorrow night (Wed 11/5) brings the Prospective Student Open House, when we will welcome the LA Class of 2030 (!) to check out what Lincoln has to offer. That is a big event organized by our admissions office that involves many students and staff, and we hope that if you have an 8th grader coming up you will join us for a tour and information.
Please read carefully below for important information about how we are meeting food needs in our community, as well as more details about the schedule on Monday, November 10. Monday promises to be a big day, with Community Service opportunities for 9th and 10th graders as well as important information about staying safe online. Juniors and seniors will see the hard work their peers have been doing on their senior capstone projects, and we appreciate how hard the LEAP team, led by Maya Crosby and Laura Phelps, are working to pull off our First Annual Senior Capstone Symposium.
Let us know how we can help.
