LA Senior, Ally Grondin recently finished a large-scale abstract art piece on the shipping container next to ATEC. The container needed extensive prep work before it was ready for paint and peers from EdLab helped Ally sand and prepare for painting. This project took 3 weeks of hard work and the rain made it difficult however, Ally was able to complete her vision just in time for graduation. Ally’s art installation will leave a lasting impact on LA for years to come.
Started in 1991, the edLab stands as one of the longest successfully operational alternative education programs in the state of Maine. The program provides a challenging, supportive learning environment for students for whom the traditional high school classroom is not a good fit. The edLab primarily serves 11th and 12th graders.
