A scene from last year’s Lincoln Academy’s Peter J. Benner Job Fair. The 2025 event will take place on April 2, and will offer students a chance to interact with local businesses and organizations to find out about immediate and long term employment opportunities in the area.
On Wednesday, April 2 from 8-noon, Lincoln Academy will host their 4th Annual Peter J. Benner ‘92 Job Fair for students in Nelson Bailey gymnasium. In addition to current LA students, Wiscasset seniors and rising 9th graders from Great Salt Bay and all AOS 93 schools will attend the fair this year. Recent LA alumni Are also encouraged to attend.
This annual career fair was named for Peter Benner, who graduated from Lincoln Academy in 1992. After he passed away in February of 2022, his Lincoln Academy classmates donated in his honor to make this annual event possible.
This year, a record 36 businesses from across Lincoln County will be present to speak to attendees about career options. Most businesses will be discussing immediate openings in fields including healthcare, HVAC, marine services, customer service, and more. Many will also be sharing information about on-the-job training and long-term career growth within their organizations.
“I’m really excited about the variety of organizations joining us this year,” said Heather D’Ippolito, Lincoln Academy Director of Community Engagement and Development. “The list highlights why we hold the fair: to show local students that regardless of their interests, and whether or not they choose to pursue higher education, they can find a job right here in Lincoln County.”
Businesses who will attend this year’s fair include Back Cove Yachts, Bangor Savings, Bath Savings Institution, Bristol Parks and Recreation, Central Lincoln County Ambulance Service, Central Lincoln County YMCA, Central Maine Power, Colby & Gale, Inc. and Phillips Power Products, DiMauro Electric Inc., First Federal Savings and Loan, First National Bank, Hagar Enterprises, Hancock Lumber, Hannaford #8141, Hardy Boat Cruises, Hodgdon Yachts, Kieve-Wavus Leadership Camps, Lie-Nielson Toolworks, Lincoln County Publishers, Lincoln County Television, Lincoln Health, Louis Doe Home Center, Maine Department of Corrections, Maine Kayak, Masters Machine Company, Mid-Coast Energy Systems, Inc., Mobius Community Ctr., Molnlycke, Moose Crossing Garden Center, NC Hunt Lumber, Padebco, Prock Marine, R.H.
