Ready for December Break
Our students had a fantastic weekend engaging in various activities that catered to different interests: shopping trips, an outdoor holiday festival, an LA choral concert and a dorm gift swap. Please check out the pictures from the choral concert on the LA Flickr page. Additionally, some students enjoyed an icy, yet fun skiing adventure at Sugarloaf with Mr. Abbott, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Each year in May, the LA Yearbook Committee sells a yearbook. A yearbook is a book published annually by Lincoln Academy that captures and commemorates the experiences, achievements, and memories of the school year. It includes photographs of students, faculty, and staff, as well as highlights of events, clubs, sports, and other activities that took place during that year. These are currently for sale and students will receive them at the end of the academic year. Seniors do not have to purchase a yearbook, as they are presented one as a gift.
February Break
We will offer a February Break dorm-stay from Saturday, February 15-Sunday February 23. Students will be supervised by LA dorm staff and faculty throughout the break. Daily activities will be scheduled to enrich the stay and capitalize on all of the rich cultural and recreational opportunities in the area. These include snow tubing, skiing, a Boston day trip (if weather allows), swimming, and trips to the cinema. The cost is $1100, inclusive of food, activities, and transportation. Please use this form to indicate if your student will stay for February Break.
Holiday Farewell
Next week marks the beginning of our two-week holiday break, and it comes with mixed emotions as we prepare to bid farewell to six wonderful students who have completed their semester abroad: Julia, Carla, Gabi, Lina, Zuzana and Blanca. To celebrate the time we’ve spent together, we hosted a goodbye party on Wednesday evening, complete with a slide show. It was a heartfelt gathering to express our gratitude for their contributions to our community.
As our students embark on their holiday adventures and our departing students prepare to start new chapters, we want to wish everyone a safe and joyous holiday season. May your travels be smooth, your celebrations be merry, and your time with loved ones be filled with warmth and happiness.
Thank you for being a part of our Lincoln Academy family. We look forward to the continued growth and success of our students in the new year.
Be well and take care,

Monica Tan
Director of Residential Life

Suppose a student wishes to stay with a family during a vacation. In that case, Lincoln Academy Residential Life will make every effort to find a host family. Still, it is NOT Lincoln Academy’s responsibility to find host families for students wishing to stay in the area when the dorms are closed. If a student wishes to stay with a host family during vacation, the student’s family will be charged a daily fee of $75 per day per student by Lincoln Academy. A vacation homestay stipend will be paid to the host family to defray the cost of food, transportation, and entertainment expenses.
Vacation camps and other trips will be offered during the February and April vacations. Host family opportunities will not be offered during these vacations. Boarding students wishing to participate will be charged additional fees for these trips. It is important to sign up early for these opportunities.
