Pumpkinfest and a Long Weekend
This coming weekend, we look forward to four days off! Pumpkinfest is our town’s showcase event, and the weekend will be full of entertainment, volunteering and spectacle. Check out the website for a full list of events and photos that truly express the uniqueness of a Pumpkin Regatta! Our ResLife students will be spending a few hours on Saturday and Sunday helping out at the KidZone, an area of the festival for children to play, learn and explore. Our volunteering efforts continue to be promoted, and students are being encouraged to engage as much as possible.
Sunday afternoon provided the whole dorm community with adventure, teamwork and challenge. Monkey C Monkey Do is a local attraction that boasts a ropes course and zip lines! Working together and encouraging each other, our students and staff relished the opportunity to climb, take risks and challenge themselves. It was a joyful experience, even for the most skeptical of our students. We had great participation and plenty of photos to capture those grins!
The half-way point in the first trimester is Friday, October 18 and mid-trimester grade reports will be sent to families this month. These midterm grade reports do not appear on final transcripts, but do provide a snapshot view of academic progress so far in the grading period. We work with students to build good study habits and we encourage you to be in touch with questions or concerns.

Suppose a student wishes to stay with a family during a vacation. In that case, Lincoln Academy Residential Life will make every effort to find a host family. Still, it is NOT Lincoln Academy’s responsibility to find host families for students wishing to stay in the area when the dorms are closed. If a student wishes to stay with a host family during vacation, the student’s family will be charged a daily fee of $75 per day per student by Lincoln Academy. A vacation homestay stipend will be paid to the host family to defray the cost of food, transportation, and entertainment expenses.
Vacation camps and other trips will be offered during the February and April vacations. Host family opportunities will not be offered during these vacations. Boarding students wishing to participate will be charged additional fees for these trips. It is important to sign up early for these opportunities.
