May 2, 2024

Welcome May!

We have reached the mid-point of trimester 3 and grade reports will be sent to families in the coming week.  As a reminder, mid-trimester grades provide a snapshot of your student’s academic status halfway through the trimester.  These grades are an indicator for how your student is doing as they push toward the end of the academic year.  Please direct your questions or concerns about your student’s progress and performance to their teachers.

The next six weeks will be very full, complete with musical performances, athletic competitions, exams and graduation celebrations. Advanced Placement (AP) exams began next week and will run over the next two weeks.  Final exams are scheduled and year-end assignments will take place in early June.   Here in ResLife, we will supplement study time and academic focus with opportunities to be outside, exercise, eat well and take day trips.  We have a number of outings scheduled for the coming weeks and look forward to sharing those photos with you.

Please refer to this document for details about senior week.  The ResLife office will be providing support to students who are attending prom and need access to stores and services to make that event a memorable one.

This week’s photos celebrate two recent events; dinner with Lincoln Academy Board of Trustees and an Ambassador’s event in Newcastle with LA day students.  The dinner gave ResLife students an opportunity to speak about their LA experiences with members of the Board, highlighting their journey to Lincoln Academy and their experiences as dorm students.  The Ambassador’s event was simply fun, engaging everyone to problem solve, work together and build community.

We look forward to warmer, drier weather and seeing some of you on the Lincoln Academy campus soon!

Be well and take care,

Monica Tan
