Trimester 3 begins- Welcome Spring!

We are experiencing a swing in temperatures this week, but we look forward to pushing through this last wintery mix with more sun and warmth on the other side.  Trimester 3 is underway, with students participating in new Focused Learning Blocks (FLB).  Students are balancing academic loads with new athletic and arts schedules.

Dorm News:

We have 3 new students joining us in the dorms until the end of the school year.  Mariana, Will and Caroline are day students who completed a rigorous application process and were selected to join the ResLife community.  Our goal for this program is to strengthen the relationships between day and residential students through friendship and shared experiences.

Congratulations to Delane Le, senior, who was awarded February’s Student of the Month!

“Delane is a respectful, welcoming, positive person and a delight to know and teach! The careful manner in which she tends to her friendships and dedicates herself to schoolwork and extracurriculars, like cheerleading, embodies her strength of character. Delane’s enthusiastic participation in all aspects of our Res Life and school community, from trips to volunteer work to cleaning up wings and hanging out and laughing with friends, inspires and brings joy to those around her.”

Spring Sports:

Tryouts and practices begin next week, on March 25. The ResLife community will be home to 12 student athletes!

April Vacation: Please submit your vacation plans into Orah for April.  These are due immediately, as we have just three weeks before the break.

Parents of Seniors:

For parents of ResLife Seniors, please begin submitting your plans for the end of the year.  Details about Senior Week celebrations can be found in this previous newsletter.  To ensure that you have all necessary travel documentation and visa requirements in order,  please use this form to submit your travel arrangements.  This will be gathered by the admissions office, who can provide you with a Visa Invitation Letter.

Be well and take care,
