Spring is in the air!

Last weekend, we turned our clocks ahead in accordance with Daylight Savings Time.  While we did lose an hour of sleep, we gained an hour of daylight, of which we are extremely grateful!  Students are spending more time outside in the evenings, enjoying the mild temperatures.

Today marks the end of Trimester 2.  This has been an intense time of study, dedication and perseverance for all LA students.  We are so proud of their determination and they will be rewarded with a 4-day break, starting on Thursday.  We will offer a day trip to Boston, plenty of shopping and sightseeing, and a basketball game.

Achievements:

We would like to recognize some of our ResLife students for recent achievements:

Nandi Gero and the LA Math Team  finished first place in the medium school division, and second place overall.

Delane Le was recognized with an All-Academic Award by the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference.

Henry Wannakasemsuk, Jackie Pelletier and Coco de Dios Sanchez were recognized by Lincoln Academy teachers for their Academic Character.  Each teacher was asked to recognize one student they teach that made their classes better through their best efforts, attitudes and learning habits.

Spring Sports:

Spring Sports begin March 25!  Spring Sign-Ups are available in PowerSchool. All spring athletes must be registered in order to begin practice .

Parents of Seniors:

For parents of ResLife Seniors, please begin submitting your plans for the end of the year.  Details about Senior Week celebrations can be found in last week’s newsletter.  To ensure that you have all necessary travel documentation and visa requirements in order,  please use this form to submit your travel arrangements.  This will be gathered by the admissions office, who can provide you with a Visa Invitation Letter.

Be well and take care,
