Happy Valentine’s Day & February Break!

It’s been a fun (and cold) week here at Lincoln Academy!  We celebrated Lunar New Year with spring rolls, prepared by ResLife students.  The community came together by dressing up and sharing food with day students.   As we previously mentioned, Carnival Week is in full swing, and we’ve got a carousel of photos below to share with you all!  For more pictures, check out our Lincoln Academy Flickr page.

We will be saying goodbye to Tillmann this week, as he prepares to head back to Germany. Tillmann has been an integral part of our school family, contributing significantly to both our music and robotics programs.  We are delighted to share that Tillmann was named the January Student of the Month, a well-deserved recognition of his exceptional contributions to our school. Here’s what some of our staff had to say about Tillmann:

“Tillmann’s generous baking for the dorm makes it feel more like home. His delicious treats have brought joy and warmth to our living spaces, fostering a sense of belonging for all. I have seen nothing but continuous community support from Tillmann. Whether it’s lending a hand, helping peers with their problems, or sharing his love of baking with others, Tillmann always demonstrates the respectful and welcoming attitude we strive to embody. I would love to see his grounding and caring personality recognized as we will surely miss this as he leaves us in February.”

Stay tuned for February’s Student of the month- we look forward to sharing our students’ contributions to the LA ResLife community.

When we return after February vacation we have three short weeks until the end of the second trimester (March 13).  Please check-in with your student about their academics as we approach this important date.  March activities will include another ski trip to Sugarloaf, snow tubing, an Escape Room adventure and a Maine Celtics game. Soon enough the flowers start popping up and the temperatures will warm and despite our love for winter, we are truly looking forward to longer days and warmer temperatures

Looking ahead, please continue to enter April Vacation travel plans into Orah.  Please note that the dorms close on Saturday, April 13 and open again on Sunday, April 21.

We look forward to updating you with a newsletter at the end of the month.
