April 13-21, 2024 New Jersey & Philadelphia
Join Ms. Jonason & her family for a 9-day excursion to the New Jersey shore and Philadelphia! First stop: Ventnor City, New Jersey. We’ll enjoy the comforts of a beautiful beach house and unwind after a long trip. The surrounding area will provide plenty of opportunities for walking the beach, the Atlantic City Boardwalk and more. This is a time to sleep in, rest, and enjoy slow and carefree days.
On day 4, we will pack up and drive 100 km to Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love and a cultural treasure-trove. Known as the “Birthplace of America”, students will explore the old city and become familiar with the city’s role in the founding of our democracy and its important citizens. Chinatown, sports, shopping, and museums will round out our 4 days exploring the city. Our accommodations will be a beautiful townhouse, complete with 2 kitchens, movie theater, arcade room, rooftop terrace and view of the skyline. Located in the Fishtown neighborhood, this safe and walkable area will provide students with the opportunity to explore the city in small groups.
In collaboration with Lincoln Academy’s Career and Academic Counseling (CAC) office, we will organize 2 university tours in the area. Possible area schools to tour include: The University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, Drexel University, LaSalle University and Pierce College.
Cost: $1000 per student. Pricing includes meals, transportation, shared accommodations, and group activities. Students should bring their own spending money for personal expenses.
