Celebrating a Weekend of Joy and preparing for the Holiday Break!
As we approach the festive holiday season, we are eager to share the wonderful experiences our residential students had over the weekend, filled with a variety of activities that brought joy and camaraderie.
Our students had a fantastic weekend engaging in various activities that catered to different interests. From a cozy movie night in the lobby and a shopping spree in Freeport to the enchanting choral concerts and the heartwarming dorm gift swap, the weekend was a delightful blend of fun and friendship. The Lincoln Academy Indoor Track team competed at Bowdoin College on Saturday, with great success. Please check out the pictures from the choral concert on the LA Flickr page. Additionally, some students enjoyed an unusually warm but exhilarating skiing adventure at Sugarloaf with Mr. Abbott, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Below, you’ll see a post about purchasing yearbooks. A yearbook is a book published annually by Lincoln Academy that captures and commemorates the experiences, achievements, and memories of the school year. It includes photographs of students, faculty, and staff, as well as highlights of events, clubs, sports, and other activities that took place during that year. These are currently for sale and students will receive them at the end of the academic year. Seniors do not have to purchase a yearbook, as they are presented one as a gift.
Looking Ahead to February Break:
As we approach the end of the year, we want to remind you to start planning for the upcoming February Break. Options include a week at Camp Kieve-Wavus, promising your child a week filled with adventure, relaxation, and deepening friendships. It’s a wonderful opportunity for them to make the most of their break and return with stories to share.
Holiday Farewell:
Next week marks the beginning of our two-week holiday break, and it comes with mixed emotions as we prepare to bid farewell to five wonderful students who have completed their semester abroad: Claudia, Vitor, Jorge, Annabella, and Leonardo. To celebrate the time we’ve spent together, we will host a goodbye party on Wednesday. It will be a heartfelt gathering to express our gratitude for their contributions to our community.
As our students embark on their holiday adventures and our departing students prepare to start new chapters, we want to wish everyone a safe and joyous holiday season. May your travels be smooth, your celebrations be merry, and your time with loved ones be filled with warmth and happiness.
Thank you for being a part of our Lincoln Academy family. We look forward to the continued growth and success of our students in the new year.
Be well and take care,
