Student volunteers from Lincoln Academy’s Residential Life program packaged coffee on Wednesday, February 8. The bulk coffee was donated to Healthy Lincoln County’s Food Security Program, and the students weighed and packaged the coffee for distribution to area households that request food assistance.

“The students have helped with a number of volunteer projects this year including firewood deliveries, building window inserts and packaging Thanksgiving meals,” said Sarah Kennedy, who works in the Residential Life Office at Lincoln Academy. “They were eager to help package the coffee and think that it might be a nice treat for a household facing hardships this winter.”

If you need food assistance or would like to make a contribution contact Healthy Lincoln County’s Food Security Program at (207) 350-0536.
