Welcome Back!
Students are back in the dorms and sharing stories from their spring break adventures. We had several students take part in community homestays, others traveled with family or returned home and 13 residential students spent their April vacation in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina USA with the Abbott family. After having missed this trip two years in a row due to pandemic travel concerns, we took this adventure anticipating some much-needed fun in the sun – and much fun was had!!
We are entering the final stretch of the school year. There are just 28 school days until graduation on June 4th and 33 school days remaining for underclassmen.  There are lots of special activities and celebrations scheduled for the weeks ahead including prom, AP exams, concerts, and athletics events and we are looking forward to celebrating Senior Week with the Class of 2022 and their families more details are here: https://lincolnacademy.org/graduation-week-2022/
Please review the important information about the end-of-year below and be in touch with any questions.
Sincerely,
Jake Abbott
Dean of Students and Director of Residential Life

End of Year Details
Closing the dorm and moving students out is an active and complex process. Along with departure dates (Seniors are expected to be out of the dorm by the end of the day on Saturday, June 5th, and underclassmen the following week, on Friday, June 10, 2022) we also include the process of packing and cleaning rooms, sorting items no longer wanted, supporting shipping of items that won’t fit in suitcases, and ensuring that records, medications, and other controlled items are accounted for. Please work with your son/daughter to ensure that they understand the need to be organized and efficient as we start asking them to take on these tasks. Â
For students returning to LA next year, we offer the service of summer storage of items on campus. Things must be boxed and well labeled. For anyone not returning, all personal belongings must be packed, disposed of, or shipped prior to leaving campus. These steps and dates are important to adhere to and with any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. We have already begun to accept Orah requests for end-of-year departure and the sooner those plans are confirmed, the easier it is for us to plan the details. Â
