Late March Update
This is our last weekend in March and we were pleased to have lots of sunny weather and warmth. Even those who had to experience a covid quarantine were able to get outside and soak up some sunshine and fresh air. While we have had a few more covid cases crop up within the residential community, we believe we are near to the end of the spread and the students who have experienced positive tests have fortunately only had light symptoms.
I recently had an opportunity to slow my life down just a little – I have had some work done in repairing my knee with elective surgery. While my recovery will be slow, my ability to work in this lovely community remains strong. These kids and this community have rallied together to support me like no others – I am proud of the relationships and support offered here at Lincoln Academy- it’s indicative of lifelong relationships to come!
We now have just three weeks until April vacation. Time flies from this point in the year and I have encouraged students to really slow down and live in the moment. I am proud of what we have built this school year and while it will be hard to part ways in June, I know that we have made something special. Please join me in reminding our students to enjoy the small things – and celebrate together!
Sincerely,
Jake Abbott
Dean of Students and Director of Residential Life
