Welcome Back!
It is wonderful to be welcoming everyone back from Winter Vacation. Students who stayed locally enjoyed their time together on Damariscotta Lake while others visited friends and family across the country or traveled home.
There are just two weeks until the end of the second trimester. As we approach this important grading period, students should review assignment deadlines and be in touch with teachers if they have any questions or concerns.
The Maine coast was blanketed by powdery snow on Friday reminding us that there is still time for more winter fun! Many of our students are signing up for a special Outing Club trip to Sugarloaf on March 6th. Residential Life students may ski for a discounted price of just $30 for rentals and $30 for lift tickets.
Travel dates for the next school year have been finalized and are available at the link below. Please note the distinct arrival dates for students planning to take part in Fall Athletics. Be in touch with any questions. Approved Travel Dates for Next School Year: https://lincolnacademy.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Approved-Res-Life-Travel-Dates-2022_2023.pdf
Lastly, this week marks the start of Lincoln Academy’s Alumni Community Challenge. Please join me in making a gift in support of our community here at LA. You can make a donation to celebrate your student’s class or even make a gift in honor of a favorite teacher, dorm parent, coach, or staff member. I’m so proud to be a part of this community and appreciate your support.
Sincerely,
Jake Abbott

Winter Play
Lincoln Academy Drama is hard at work on an original play to appear in late March of 2022. Around 35 students are currently working in teams to write, design, choreograph and make music for the play.
With a working title of “The Selchie Play”, the piece will be workshopped and devised throughout the month of February. Students are deeply involved in the early process of creative work and very excited to begin staging the play in a few days. Stay tuned for more updates!
