Celebrating the Holidays in Maine
We are very close to the holiday vacation and our last week of school for 2021. It has been a challenging and rewarding year in many ways and I am thankful for the collaboration of our students, staff, and families. We have worked hard to build a strong, safe, happy, and healthy community here at LA. Special thanks to all of the parents for their trust in us and support in making our program a success!
The Residential Life Office has been busy assisting students with travel arrangements and homestay placements. All student departure plans for the holiday break have been confirmed and Lincoln Academy is managing departure logistics including rides to airports and bus stations. We have also scheduled any required covid testing. Please contact me directly with travel updates or questions. This same process will occur when students return from the holiday break in January.
In addition to the six new international students joining us in January, I am pleased to share that there is a new local face in the dormitory. Forest Holbrook has been accepted as part of our residential program for the second trimester. Forest is a senior in the LA Ambassador Program and we are excited to have him here as part of our community. Last week he moved into Yellow Wing with his new roommate Changshen Li, a Junior from China. Forest is making friends fast and when he isn’t busy with his studies you may see him out with the Running Club or hear him practicing piano from the 2nd floor music room.
Happy Holidays from the LA family to yours!

Gifts can be made online through our annual fund with a designation to the class, or submit cash or checks to the main office. Checks should be made out to Lincoln Academy with “Class of ‘22” in the memo. Please feel free to forward this information to family and friends interested in supporting our seniors.
