Winter sunrise on Damariscotta Lake

Happy snow day! Even as the sleet is hitting the windows here in Borland Hall, I am thankful to live in New England. While I would have loved to have a good 2-foot snowstorm so I could head out snowshoeing on the cross country trails, I appreciated the time to catch up on email, tend to some writing that I have been meaning to tackle, and begin thinking about the spring trimester.

Next week Winter Carnival will offer a chance for students and staff to have a little fun before vacation. Even with a modified schedule, the Student Council is working hard to keep some Winter Carnival traditions alive. Some events will even be livestreamed! Then February break is right around the corner, and before we know it spring will be on our horizon. There is a lot to be thankful for in the efforts of this community and a great deal of hope for the longer and brighter days ahead.

Please let me know if there is anything that we can do for you or someone you know.

Be well and stay safe.
