We have reached the mid-point in the second trimester. Grade reports will be sent to families during the coming week via email. Please be on the lookout for your student’s grade report and let them know if you have any questions or concerns.
Lincoln Academy’s Winter Carnival starts February 8th. This special annual event includes games, dress-up, class competitions, and more. The 2021 celebration will be unique with a mix of hybrid and in-person activities and we look forward to sharing the fun through photos and videos in the coming weeks.
It’s been cold outside but Residential Life students are staying active both indoors and out. This season has been full of opportunities to try winter sports such as skiing and snow tubing, and our students have also been taking part in indoor fitness activities, pottery, and games.
As a reminder, the next school vacation is February 13-21. Travel restrictions remain in effect, dorms will be open, and there will be a full range of programming offered to students through the Residential Life Office. If you or your student have any questions or activity suggestions, please contact me directly.
Lastly, I want to close this message with my thanks to the families of our Residential Life students. Your children are an important part of our campus community and it is truly a privilege to have them here at LA. This academic year has been unlike any other and each day I am boyed by this cohort of inquisitive, thoughtful, and compassionate young adults. Thank you for being a part of Lincoln Academy’s extended family.
With gratitude,

Photo Retake Day Thursday, January 28
LifeTouch will be on campus on January 28 for school photo retakes. Group 1 students can be excused from class to take photos from 10 am-noon. Group 2 students are invited to come to the LA gym for retakes between noon and 1 pm.
Note: it is critical for students and staff who missed picture day in the fall to have photos taken that day. Students who have not gotten a photo taken will have priority over students who want retakes, though retakes are possible if time allows. Please contact Jake Abbott (jabbott@linclnacademy.org) with any questions.
Yearbooks
Purchasing yearbooks and parent ads
- On January 25th, the yearbook staff has to tell our publishing company the number of books we are ordering and if the books will have enhancements (name stamping and icons etc.). Seniors are guaranteed a yearbook and do not need to do anything at this time (see note below). If you are a Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior and want to guarantee your copy, place your order before January 25th. Visit yearbookforever.com, search for Lincoln Academy, and place your order today. Last year we sold out, and we want to make sure there are enough copies for everyone this year!
- NOTE FOR SENIORS: your yearbooks AND name stamping are paid for this year by senior class fundraising. You don’t have to do anything, and you will get a free yearbook in May. This includes name stamping, which is NEW this week (say thank you to Ms. Richardson!!)
- If senior families would like to purchase a parent or business ad, you can do so at this link, using instructions on this video
